Welcome Saúde 2019- the event that presented the political and economic perspectives for the health

Date: 01/31/2019

On January 29th, Domo Salute attended the event “Welcome Saúde 2019”, organized by Media Group to welcome the health sector this year. The event discussed the political and economic perspectives for the sector and brought experts and authorities from different links in the health chain.

A survey conducted by Media Group noted that 55% of respondents believe that the current government will be good for the sector and also indicated a perspective of growth of the health sector for this year.

The talk, made by Mauro Junqueira, President of Conasems, addressed the dimensions and challenges of the Unified Health System (SUS). Mauro Junqueira defended the SUS despite understanding that there is a great opportunity for improvement in the execution of the services provided by the SUS.

The second lecture, given by Ricardo Valentim, from Lais – Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health, covered Humanitarian Health and showed an analysis on primary care. Ricardo Valentim defends the idea of developing an anti-disciplinary leadership model, which is not hierarchical yet horizontal and focused on solving problems, which makes the system more resilient and responsive. He said, “A well-solved problem in Brazil may have a scale of world-wide resolution.”

After the two talks, the roundtable discussions began. “Building the future of health: the role of the protagonists of the sector in face of the new times of Brazilian politics” was the subject of the first round table of Welcome Saúde 2019(link).

The second table included New horizons: The influence of the economy in the construction of a more efficient health. The debates brought together representatives of the main links in the health chain with the presence of Mauro Junqueira, from Consems; Ricardo Valentim, Lais; Ruy Baumer, Comsaúde, Rodrigo Lopes, the Lefort Group; Alceu Alves da Silva, VP of MV; Luiz Aramicy Pinto, FBH; Claudia Cohn, Abramed; Paulo Fraccaro, Abimo; Giovanni Guido Cerri, the Radiology Institute of HCFMUSP; Marcos Marques, Abradimex; Francisco Balestrin, IHF; and Franco Pallamolla, Abimo.

We believe that initiatives and events such as Welcome Saúde 2019 promote more discussions and contribute to the development of health in the country. Entities, companies and people should take a close look at the economic and political aspects of that and contribute to the resolution of problems along with the competent bodies (such as ANVISA, for example) so that the country can well assist that which is the main focus of all discussions: the Brazilian patient.
