ANVISA’s Digital Plan

Date: 10/17/2019

ANVISA, the Ministry of Economy and the Presidency approved, on Wednesday (9/10), the Agency’s Digital Plan. As a part of the strategy to implement the Executive Power’s Digital Governance Policy, the program wishes to transform 120 ANVISA services to digital by the end of 2020.

Throughout 2019 we have had significant progress regarding medical devices within ANVISA, with the implementation of electronic petitions and protocols for primary and secondary processes. However, only 19% percent of all ANVISA’s services are currently digital, and 35% digital or partially digital. The goal is to achieve 75% of all services by 2020. ANVISA’s CEO, William Dib, states that the novelty signals a change in the way the Agency interacts and provides services.

It’s beyond technology, it creates savings and opportunities to review work processes in an integrated manner to better meet the needs of users and citizens, while optimizing the services of our technicians. – emphasizes Dib.

Luis Felipe Monteiro, secretary of digital government, noted that the digital plan is crucial to the Brazilian population. “The government has to be simple and available to citizens, 24 hours a day. ANVISA takes here an important step in its modernization”.

The mission of the project is to facilitate citizen access to information and services offered by the Agency.
